South Korean president meets Kim Jong-il in North Korea

South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun and first lady Kwon Yang-suk on Tuesday made a historic overland trip to North Korea to attend the second summit of the two countries.After the convoy of Roh and his entire delegation entered the heavily-fortified border zone, the president, his wife and other delegates crossed the yellow military demarcation line dividing the two Koreas on foot in a symbolic gesture for peace.
